inuksuk

A marker for what you'd hate to lose.

inuksuk keeps a quiet trail back to you — an NFC tag on your bag, your keys, your camera, and a way for a stranger to reach you if it wanders off. Nothing about it works without your passphrase, and nothing about it works without you.

Your passphrase never leaves your device — only a one-way derived token does, and even that stays in memory for this visit only.
Nothing is written to this browser. Close the tab and the session is ended, on purpose.
A finder's message to you is encrypted right before it's sent by them — and even we can't read it.
The contact details in your NFC tag are written straight from your Android phone to the tag — they never pass through our servers at all, not even once the asset is marked lost and a finder can see them.
Your contact details are only ever shown to a finder while you've marked that asset lost — though a finder can always send you an encrypted message, and you can always see if it's been scanned.
We show only the city where your NFC tag was scanned, and never the exact location unless it's explicitly shared with you.
We never see your asset's name — it's always encrypted before it ever reaches us.
Stop tracking an asset and everything tied to it — record, scans, messages — is gone immediately, not just hidden.
No accounts, no email, no analytics, no trackers. Just you, a passphrase, and a stone left on the trail.

Set up in a few minutes. Recoverable from memory alone.
